Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Registered Nurse supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities during shifts. You will ensure compliance with Long Term Care and federal/state standards, and guide staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires strong clinical knowledge, effective communication across disciplines, timely rounds, and assistance with discharge planning. You may serve as Charge Nurse or Medication Nurse as needed, while maintaining confidentiality

• Must demonstrate thorough understanding of nursing principles, practices and procedures.
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively to establish working relationships.
• Must be in good physical and mental health to sustain performance.
• Must read, write, speak, and comprehend English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Engage in professional conduct reflecting high nursing standards.
• Communicate a professional image of the nursing department to patients, staff and physicians.
• Delegate unit activities to RNs, LPNs, and support staff.
• Attend to punctuality and manage time with breaks and meetings.
• Maintain proficiency through continuing education and in-service programs.
• Ensure confidentiality of patients, physicians and staff.
• Function as Charge Nurse, Medication Nurse, or ER Nurse as needed.
• Promote Health Education when interacting with community members.
