Job summary

Helia Healthcare is seeking an RN to lead and support our resident care team. You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensure care quality, and administer medications in a fast-paced, compassionate environment.

You will collaborate with leadership to maintain high standards, document changes, and advocate for residents’ comfort and safety. A valid Illinois nursing license and experience in geriatric or long-term care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse license required.
• Experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide LPNs and CNAs with confidence and kindness.
• Ensure resident care is delivered according to top-notch standards of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders accurately.
• Implement and evaluate care plans that support residents’ wellness and comfort.
• Direct CNAs to ensure safe, respectful care; round with CNAs before end of shift.
• Provide thorough handoffs and documentation for admissions, pain evaluations, and required records.
• Notify physicians and families about significant changes in resident health.
