Job summary

Helia Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and support our care team while ensuring residents receive compassionate, high-quality nursing care. You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians to maintain optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities include documenting care, updating plans, and advocating for residents’ comfort and safety in a fast-paced long-term care setting.

Qualifications

Current, valid Illinois RN license.
Experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.
Supervisory experience is a plus!
Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.

Responsibilities

Lead and guide LPNs and CNAs with confidence and kindness.
Deliver resident care according to high standards of practice.
Administer medications and treatments as a clinical professional.
Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders accurately.
Develop and evaluate care plans to support residents’ wellness and comfort.
Direct CNAs to ensure safe, respectful care per policy.
Rounding with CNAs to ensure everything is in order.
Document admissions and pain evaluations and other required records.
Advocate for residents to remain comfortable and pain-free.
Uphold incident reporting standards and notify physicians/families of significant changes.
