Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling, headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Risk and Claims Manager to oversee the Loss Control claims team. This full-time, on-site role requires directing claims handling, analyzing trends, and guiding settlement decisions.

You will collaborate with Safety, Operations, and HR to design loss-control programs, monitor data, and report insights to leadership. Occasional travel to other locations is expected.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in commercial auto property damage and bodily injury claims.
• 5+ years direct claim team management experience.
• Substantial knowledge of insurance principles, practices, and terminology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and administer claims handling for the organization.
• Lead the claims team to ensure timely progress and quality.
• Provide expert guidance on complex claim files and settlements.
• Monitor trends and present risk-reduction recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate with TPAs, safety, operations, and HR on loss-control programs.
