USA Waste & Recycling seeks a Claims Manager to lead insurance and risk management across its diverse operations, including hauling, facilities, hospitality, and equine ventures. You will oversee auto, general liability, workers’ compensation, and property claims, while partnering with Legal, Operations, HR, and Safety to analyze incidents and drive corrective actions.

In this role, you’ll manage reserves, settlements, and litigation strategy, monitor exposure, and help strengthen risk transfer

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
• Risk management experience across multi-entity or multi-location environments.
• Commercial auto and fleet risk, ideally heavy trucks or transportation/logistics.
• Comfort working in blue-collar, field-based environments as well as hospitality and agricultural operations; strong analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building across diverse teams and industries.
• Ability to travel regularly for site visits and maintain reliable transportation.

Aufgaben

• Oversee and manage claims across auto, general liability, workers’ compensation, and property.
• Partner with Legal, Operations, HR, and Safety to investigate incidents and perform root-cause analyses.
• Monitor litigated claims, evaluate litigation strategy, legal expenses, settlements, and exposure.
• Review claim files and provide technical oversight to ensure consistent handling.
• Identify recurring loss drivers and collaborate with operations and safety to implement corrective actions.
• Assist with administration and management of insurance programs and risk-financing structure.
• Develop risk-management reporting on trends, exposures, and areas needing attention.
