Job summary

STR is seeking an experienced RF Systems Integration Engineer to lead RF test, measurement, and system integration for deploying a new operational mode on an externally developed radar. You will act as the technical authority for RF systems integration, translating system goals into RF, interface, and integration requirements.

You will define integration strategies, collaborate with the external radar developer, and lead end-to-end test planning and validation.

Qualifications

Active security clearance with eligibility for SAP/SCI if required.
PhD/MS/BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
Experience designing, integrating and testing RF sensor/communication systems.
Strong programming skills in Matlab, Python, Simulink and/or C/C++.

Responsibilities

Lead RF testing, measurement, and characterization across lab and system environments.
Develop deep technical understanding of a third‑party radar system and its interfaces.
Define and own RF integration approach for implementing a new mode on an external radar.
Design and validate integration strategies including RF interfaces and timing.
Collaborate with the external radar developer to resolve RF and integration challenges.
Lead integration test planning, execution, and results with clear success criteria.
