Job summary

O'Reilly Automotive Stores in Mayfield, KY is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support store leadership in sales, customer service, and operations, including shift management in supervisors' absence.

This role emphasizes bilingual capabilities, automotive knowledge, and a commitment to friendly service across retail and professional customers; you will help ensure accurate invoicing, stock, and POS procedures while maintaining store appearance and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team execution of service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub, and store-to-store transfers promptly and inform customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed and refunds issued correctly.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before it leaves the store.
• Coordinate Zipline messages and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to work schedules and proper clock-in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end money procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
