Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and ensure store displays adhere to planograms.

The role includes opening/closing duties and stepping in for the Store Manager when needed. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and optional supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication abilities.
• Knowledge of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to drive own vehicle for bank deposits.
• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise and rotate displays; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store and related areas; maintain sanitation and cleanliness.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
