Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to provide customer-focused leadership in a fast-paced store environment. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and support display setup while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires a High school diploma or equivalent and some supervisory experience; frequent walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, and occasional travel to other stores may be involved. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service leadership skills and ability to assist customers.
• Ability to operate cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with planograms and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices in retail environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and make change.
• Experience with stock, display setup, and store operations tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays and follow planograms.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, restrooms, and stockroom; support sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction; assist in coverage during absences.
