Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a lead Cashier/Stocker to act in the absence of Store leadership and to maintain plan-o-grams and customer service excellence. You will unload trucks, stock, assist with displays, and ensure a safe, clean store environment while protecting assets.

In this role you will operate the cash register, assist customers, and supervise cashier activities during shifts. This position emphasizes teamwork and profitability.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and rotate on shelves.
• Restock returned merchandise and build displays.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation.
• Help customers locate merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Operate register and total customer purchases.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open or close the store under Area Manager guidance.
