Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of the Store Manager, provide exemplary customer service, and help maximize profitability. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and rotate displays.
• Restock returned merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as directed by the Store Manager.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Greet customers on entry and assist at the register.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise, handling payments.
• Open/close the store under direction from Area Manager.
