Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to lead in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager, assist with plan-o-grams, and provide exemplary customer service while protecting company assets.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, manage displays, assist customers, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized store that supports store profitability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations and handle cash accurately.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions.
• Good interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and store procedures.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks following store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise, rotate and face shelves, build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register, bag goods, and handle payments.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
