Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a capable Cashier/Stocker to lead in the absence of store management. You will assist in plan-o-grams, maintain displays, greet customers, operate the register, and help maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting assets.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with some supervisory experience and strong math, cash handling, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Six months supervisory experience or related training preferred
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling procedures

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and process incoming shipments according to store procedures.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and maintain plan-o-grams.
• Operate cash register, accept payments, and make change.
• Greet customers and help locate merchandise.
• Keep store clean and safe, including front-end cleanliness and restrooms.
• Maintain cash register accountability and assist in opening/closing as directed
