Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and prepare shipments per store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage shelf conditions.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; handle payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the store.
• Open/close the store under guidance of management.
• Authorize refunds and deposits in the store manager's absence.
• Monitor cash levels and maintain cashier accountability.
