Job summary

Medical City Dallas seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to maintain clinical expertise and supervise staff and students in the clinical setting.

The role requires care for neonates through adolescents, strong communication, CPR readiness, and applying respiratory therapy knowledge with various equipment. CPR and emergency response are essential as part of patient respiratory management.

Qualifications

• Graduated from NBRC-recognized school.
• Two years of college completed.
• Two years’ experience in respiratory care.
• Certified as CRT or RRT by NBRC.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current BLS certification.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clinical expertise and practices as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Supervises staff and students in the clinical setting.
• Communicates and cares for neonates through adolescent patients, with occasional work with adults.
• Exercises judgment within the medical plan of care and department policies.
• Possesses knowledge of respiratory therapeutics and diagnostic assessment.
• Applies scientific knowledge; uses respiratory equipment; performs procedures.
• Makes discriminating observations.
• Capable of performing CPR without limitation and responds to emergencies to manage patient respiratory status.
