Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduated from NBRC-accredited school for Respiratory Care.
• Two years college minimum.
• Two years’ experience in respiratory care.
• Credentialed as CRT or RRT by NBRC.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clinical expertise and practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Supervise staff and students in the clinical setting.
• Communicate and care for neonates through adolescents, with occasional adults.
• Exercise judgment within the medical plan of care, department policy and licensure acts.
• Perform respiratory procedures, CPR and respond to emergencies.
