Job summary

Bon Secours' Respiratory Therapy department in Virginia is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner III to provide comprehensive respiratory care across patient populations and settings. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, intervention, education and program evaluation.

The position includes leadership responsibilities such as staff mentorship, clinical rounds, and serving as the shift Charge Therapist to maintain adequate staffing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (preferred).
• Master’s Degree in Health care/Healthcare Admin/Business Admin (preferred).
• Current Respiratory Care License (required).
• NBRC credentialed (required).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications are required. (various)

Responsibilities

• Mentor staff, provide clinical rounds and practice evaluation.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Serve as the shift Charge Therapist to ensure staffing coverage.
• Assist physicians with procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Perform CPR and manage airway therapies per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and devices.
