Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking a Lead HVAC Service Technician - Residential to diagnose, repair, and maintain home HVAC systems, while mentoring teammates on technical questions and best practices. You will explain issues and options to homeowners, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and code compliance, applying strong diagnostics, hands-on skills, and excellent customer service.

• High school diploma or GED; technical HVAC training preferred.
• EPA 608 (Type II) certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential HVAC repair and installation.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train other team members on HVAC basics and common field issues.
• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems per specs and standards.
• Perform routine maintenance to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Document service findings, parts used, and recommendations in service software.
• Explain issues and options to customers and answer questions professionally.
• Educate customers on proper system operation and potential improvements.
