Job summary

Rack Air, a family-owned HVAC provider, seeks a Lead Residential HVAC Field Service Specialist to diagnose issues, perform maintenance and installations, and clearly communicate solutions to customers. You will travel to residential and light commercial sites, explain findings, and ensure safe, efficient systems while growing in a supportive, career-minded environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC experience, residential service focus, maintenance and installation.
• EPA certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking abilities for complex HVAC challenges.
• Excellent customer service mindset and professional communication.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to work in fast-changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems at residential and light commercial sites.
• Clean, adjust, and service air handling units, ductwork, vents, and condensate drainage.
• Complete expert installations and system upgrades with precision and safety.
• Explain findings and recommendations to customers in clear, friendly language.
• Document work performed and keep workspace and vehicle clean and organized.
• Support on-call rotation and occasional emergency service needs.
