Job summary

Spurk HVAC in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Lead Residential HVAC Installer to lead our residential installation team. You will own projects from preparation to startup, mentor apprentices, and deliver top-quality workmanship while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires experience with gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ductwork. EPA 608 cert is required; valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification is preferred.

What You'll Do

As the Lead Residential HVAC Installer, you'll take ownership of residential HVAC installation projects from initial preparation through final system startup while ensuring every installation meets company standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You'll install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-split systems, ductwork, ventilation systems, indoor air quality products, humidifiers, and other residential comfort equipment.

You'll coordinate daily jobsite activities, organize materials and equipment, review installation layouts, and ensure projects remain on schedule. Working directly with homeowners, you'll explain the installation process, answer questions, perform final system walkthroughs, and ensure customers are confident operating their new equipment before leaving the jobsite.

As the lead installer, you'll supervise and mentor apprentice and junior installers by providing hands-on coaching, assigning daily responsibilities, monitoring workmanship, and promoting safe work practices. You'll troubleshoot installation challenges in the field, maintain organized jobsites, verify compliance with manufacturer specifications and local building codes, and work closely with office staff to ensure every project is completed efficiently and professionally.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced residential HVAC installation professional with extensive knowledge of installing gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-split systems, ductwork, and indoor air quality equipment. Candidates should have previous experience leading installation projects or serving as a senior installer while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Successful applicants will possess strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills along with the ability to solve installation challenges independently. EPA 608 Certification is required. OSHA 10 Certification is preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and be comfortable working in attics, basements, crawlspaces, rooftops, and other residential work environments.
