Job summary

Spurk HVAC in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Lead HVAC Commercial Installer to oversee field installation work on commercial projects. You will lead crews, coordinate work, review plans, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role requires hands-on installation leadership, strong communication, and the ability to mentor apprentices while maintaining project schedules and standards. Competitive compensation and year-round work available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience.
• Experience leading crews or projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and project specs.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable history.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation crews on assigned projects.
• Perform and oversee installation of HVAC equipment and systems.
• Coordinate ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specs.
• Plan daily field activities and coordinate crew workflow.
• Communicate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades.
• Monitor project progress, materials, and installation quality.
• Assist with equipment start-ups, testing, and system operation.
• Identify field issues and develop practical solutions.
• Train and mentor installers and apprentices.
• Help keep projects progressing on schedule and specs.
• Maintain jobsite quality and company safety standards.
