Job summary

Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, a leading IES company, seeks a Residential HVAC Estimator for an onsite role in Florida. The senior estimator will lead residential HVAC estimating across multiple branches and partner with operations and leadership to ensure accurate, profitable bids.

The role requires deep HVAC knowledge, strong Excel and estimating software skills, and a track record of mentoring staff in fast-paced production-builder environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years residential HVAC estimating experience, production-builder experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, duct design, equipment selection and load calculations.
• Proven ability to support high-volume builder environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC estimating for production and custom residential projects.
• Establish standardized estimating processes, templates, and pricing models.
• Review bids for scope accuracy, code compliance, and profitability.
• Support branches in meeting builder bid deadlines.
• Coordinate and review HVAC load calculations and system designs.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead assumptions to protect margin.
• Mentor estimating staff across branches.
