Job summary

Sunrun Inc. is seeking a Non-Certified Electrician to lead the installation of residential solar systems and battery storage, ensuring conformance to NEC and local codes. The role involves working with PV installation crews, performing main panel upgrades, and occasionally leading the crew in the absence of the Foreman.

The position requires knowledge of PV systems, electrical interconnection, and a commitment to safety. Travel up to 5% may be required depending on job location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess 75% of the hours required to sit for state electrical certification exams.
• Electrical installation and repair experience; up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC.
• Experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels preferred.
• Clean driving record; must be 21+ with valid license.
• Certified electrical trainee preferred or required depending on state.
• Ability to read NEC codes, single-line drawings and PV systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of electrical systems interconnecting solar array to grid at customer homes.
• Ensure workmanship meets NEC and local codes.
• Plan and complete solar battery installations and MPUs per state requirements.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and system problems.
• Coordinate with branch team and homeowners for upgrades/repairs.
• Work with inspectors to meet local requirements; enforce safety standards.
• Maintain OSHA safety practices and drive project safety.
• Perform additional duties as needed; travel up to 5%.
