Job summary

Ramos Consulting Services, now a part of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks a Resident Engineer to lead CM/GC, design-bid-build and design-build projects for LA Metro authorities. You will interface with the Agency/Owner and coordinate with state and local agencies to ensure project success.

The role demands strong budget, schedule management, and team leadership, with extensive coordination of submittals, RFIs, and field inspections to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California preferred.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience with project management of large-scale infrastructure projects (≥$150M).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Client to manage budget, development, and schedule.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure delivery and compliance with plans.
• Lead staff and subconsultants to maintain contract records and progress tracking.
• Review submittals and RFIs for approvals from authorities having jurisdiction.
• Oversee field inspections, surveys, testing, and documentation of contractor work.
• Prepare daily diaries, reports and contract Change Orders; manage design changes with authorities.
