Job summary

Ramos CS, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks a Resident Engineer to lead CM/GC, design-build, and related services for LA County METRO projects. You willInterface with the client to manage budgets, schedules, and approvals, while directing field staff and subs to ensure compliant, timely progress.

The ideal candidate has California PE licensure or strong prospective, 10+ years in major infrastructure, and proven ability to build relationships with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California preferred.
• 10+ years of experience managing large infrastructure projects ($150M+).
• LA Metro experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication; knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
• Experience with contractors and stakeholders.
• Seller/doer who can manage projects and build client relationships.
• Proficient reading and comprehension of English in job communications.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Client for project interface to manage budget, development, and schedule.
• Lead collaboration with contractors to ensure delivery.
• Direct office and field staff/subconsultants to maintain contract records and project documentation.
• Review submittals and RFIs with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Manage field inspections, surveys, and material testing for compliance with plans and codes.
• Prepare reports and daily diaries documenting contractor activity.
• Maintain project records and monitor schedule and budget.
• Prepare contract change orders and design change documents.
• Resolve contractor disputes and assist owner with inquiries.
