Overview

Ramos CS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rail Systems Engineer with experience in rail and transit infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on field experience across various systems and MEPF engineering disciplines, including communications, traction power, mechanical and electrical systems, and train control. Prior involvement with LA Metro projects is a significant advantage. This role requires a proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable working both in the field and in the office. The candidate must be adept at managing documentation, coordinating testing, and generating field reports, while maintaining strong communication with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tracking contractor submittals and RFIs and follow-up with internal reviewers.
  • Maintenance of internal document databases.
  • Weekly updates to reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Support rail systems and MEPF activities across multiple disciplines including communications, traction power, electrical, emergency ventilation, and train control.
  • Collaborate with construction and design teams to ensure all subsystems are installed and tested per project specifications.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Assist in the coordination of field testing, systems integration, safety certification, and pre-revenue activities.
  • Interface with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to support project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.
