Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Retail/Rental Manager for our Winter Seasonal program at our Beaver Creek location. You will oversee high-volume retail and rental operations, manage a sizable team, and drive guest satisfaction while controlling costs and inventory.

The role emphasizes training, performance coaching, and cross-department collaboration to ensure seamless service during peak seasons. Starting wage ranges from $23.00/hr to $26.00/hr, with full-time and part-time hours available for Winter

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all retail/rental operations.
  • Lead a team of up to 50 frontline staff and 5–6 leaders.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to drive performance.
  • Design, execute and track training plans for new hires.
  • Ensure inventory, supplies and payroll processes run smoothly.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align initiatives and events.
  • Identify sales opportunities and create action plans.

The Rental Supervisor managestheoverall day-to-day operation of all Ski/Snowboard rentals. This positionis responsible formerchandising,financial management, sales staffsupervisionand overall store management. Oversees hiring, training,coachingandscheduling of store personnel. Responsible for sales generation and growth, inventory control,controllableexpenses, cash management, merchandising, losspreventionand store appearance.

Job Responsibilities

As the Retail/Rental Manager of the Rental department, this job oversees the operations of a high volume, seasonal rental operation,skiand snowboard repair/tuning center and servicing the entire resort. The retail/rental manager’sresponsibilitiesincludes:

Overseeing all aspects of all retail/rental operations.

Manages through uncertainty and change positively

Manages a team of up to 50 frontline staff and leadership team of 5-6

Provides an important piece of our guests’ experience of a lifetime while in our resort bymaintaininga strong culture of guest service

Day to day task will often include:

Providing consistent and direct feedback,coachingand guidance to team members

Driving professional development in yourself as well as others

Designing,executingand tracking training plan for associates starting with their first day

Ensuring department and staff have all necessary supplies

Meeting with other departments and committees to ensure department is aligned with initiatives

Creating operational plans forspecial events, groups, and holidays

Identifyingsales opportunities and create plans accordingly

Managing retail inventory, rental inventory, and supplies with cost management in mind

Hiring staff and processing payroll through a digital platform

The expected pay range is$23.00/hr - $26.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
