Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a senior frontend leader to drive DataViz initiatives for Grafana Frontend. You will guide multi-quarter projects, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call reliability for Grafana’s observability platform in a fully remote role across time zones including US/Canada.

The role emphasizes collaboration, AI-assisted development, and a strong focus on open-source style contributions within a global remote culture.

On-call participation for services, incident response and learning.

Responsibilities

Lead multi-quarter technical initiatives from problem framing through rollout. Including getting user feedback and measuring whether what you shipped actually worked
Mentor and collaborate with other engineers. Raise the engineering bar through code review, design feedback, pairing on hard problems, and writing that leaves the team better than you found it.
Participate in on-call for the services you help build, and be a force multiplier in incident response and post-incident learning.
Provide technical support in customer escalations and help us identify areas of high friction to address.
Cross-squad collaboration: Represent the team's work outside the team, write the design proposals, run the demos, and make the case for our roadmap in cross-team discussion.
