Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer for Grafana DataViz, a fully remote role in the US. You will lead major frontend initiatives, mentor engineers, and contribute to high-visibility visualizations using TypeScript, React, Rust, and REST.

The DataViz squad focuses on powerful data visualization with modern tooling and open-source roots. You’ll collaborate across squads, drive design proposals, and participate in on-call and incident learning, while leveraging AI-assisted development

Qualifications

• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Rust, and REST-based development.
• Experience building data visualizations and dashboards.
• Ability to prototype and iterate on UI components quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-quarter technical initiatives from problem framing through rollout and measurement.
• Mentor and collaborate with engineers; perform code reviews and design feedback.
• Participate in on-call for services and improve incident response and learning.
• Provide technical support in customer escalations and identify friction areas.
• Represent the team in cross-squad demos, proposals, and roadmap discussions.
