Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Staff Cloud Network Engineer to lead secure, resilient cloud and hybrid network architectures across AWS and Azure. You will design hub-and-spoke patterns, deploy Palo Alto firewalls, and automate infrastructure using Terraform with modern CI/CD practices.

Remote work is supported; candidates must thrive in a collaborative, enterprise-focused environment and mentor teams while coordinating with Cloud, Platform, Infrastructure, and Security groups.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing complex production network environments with cloud responsibilities.
• Hands-on AWS and Azure networking with deep expertise in at least one cloud.
• Experience with multi-region, multi-account architectures and resilient hybrid connectivity.
• Deployment of Palo Alto firewalls in AWS/Azure including Cloud NGFW/VM-Series.
• Terraform-based infrastructure as code and network automation.
• Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Ability to lead architecture through implementation and handoff.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of secure, highly available cloud network architectures across AWS and Azure.
• Architect multi-region connectivity using Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, Direct Connect, and ExpressRoute.
• Develop standardized designs for routing, segmentation, and centralized inspection.
• Deploy Palo Alto frameworks with high availability and integration with CI/CD.
• Automate networking with Terraform and Python/Ansible.
• Establish CI/CD for network changes and provide advanced troubleshooting.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Identify risks and drive observability, security, and cost improvements.
