Job summary

Hunter Recruiting is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to improve reliability of critical plant equipment in a South Carolina facility. You will lead predictive maintenance programs, perform root cause analyses, and train Electromechanics, while partnering with area owners and maintenance staff to optimize equipment performance.

You will promote zero-accident safety, develop maintenance plans, schedule work orders, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience developing maintenance plans and strategies; root cause analysis.
• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (thermography, ultrasonics, vibration, oil).
• Experience leading teams, planning, scheduling, and contractor management.
• Knowledge of CMMS; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote zero-accident safety culture; participate in investigations and corrective actions.
• Lead, develop, and train Electromechanics; conduct performance reviews and scheduling.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planners to optimize weekly schedules and WOs.
• Lead predictive maintenance programs to identify and prevent failures.
• Support TPM initiatives; identify autonomous maintenance opportunities.
• Identify and resolve recurring failures via root cause analysis.
• Provide technical support and after-hours assistance for complex issues.
• Audit safety compliance, work orders, housekeeping, and procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, contractors, staffing, and training.
• Monitor metrics and drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and losses.
• Communicate effectively with plant personnel, contractors, and vendors.
