Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to drive TRS regulatory compliance for Gas Power projects in the EMEA region, with emphasis on Germany.

You will work with internal teams and external authorities to ensure product conformity across multiple technologies. The role requires deep knowledge of European and German TRS, experience with regulatory bodies and certification processes, and the ability to lead a cross-functional team in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university; electrical/electronics, mechanical or computer science STEM fields preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical regulatory space (ISO/IEC, PED, ATEX, EMC, Machinery directive, etc.) either via external certification or project experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in German local regulations, including interaction with engineers.
• Experience executing turnkey projects in Germany from TRS, Engineering or PM perspective.
• Experience interacting with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and regulatory bodies.
• Experience with regulatory compliance agencies like TUV, UL, Intertek or similar.
• Knowledge of the energy sector and related standards.
• Excellent written and spoken communication in English and German.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Drive project regulatory compliance for all technologies in power plants and TRS categories.
• Flow down regulatory requirements to engineering, sourcing and other functions.
• Collect contractual codes/standards requirements and build a compliance strategy plan.
• Conduct regulatory assessments and manage technical compliance plans.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Design teams to resolve issues.
• Assist equipment inspections/audits at manufacturing sites and customer sites.
• Interact with certification bodies and authorities to obtain product certifications.
• Stay updated on latest TRS developments and regulatory changes.
• Lead a team of compliance project engineers and approve TRS information packages.
• Manage project schedule and TRS costs; monitor non-compliance risks.
• Present at technical and project reviews; communicate results to teams.
• Operate independently to ensure project TRS compliance.
