Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced ITR Project Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership for Aero extended scope projects in the United States. You will direct engineering and design, own technical decisions, and coordinate interfaces among GE teams, suppliers, customers, and EPC partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years in power plant engineering, willingness to travel, and proficiency in P6, Documentum, and PDMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 8+ years of power plant engineering experience.
• Must be willing to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Must be able/willing to travel, both domestically and internationally.
• Proficient in P6, Documentum, and PDMS tool suite.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution of one or several projects from proposal preparation until the end of GE contractual obligations.
• Manage a cross functional engineering team and executes as part of the ITR (ITO+OTR) process.
• Develops and monitors project engineering schedule and budget.
• Executes per applicable Power Plant Engineering processes.
• Tracks and prioritizes resolution of project action items and critical technical issues.
• Integrates the customer/partner and GE engineering schedules into overall project schedule while managing reports on project status.
• Develops and manages project technical strategy to mitigate risk and enable design progression with limited information.
• Reviews customer specifications and communicates contract and project requirements to all design functions.
• Ensures feedback for continuous improvement using Lessons Learned.
