Job summary

Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Unit Leader (Lead RN/Charge Nurse) to coordinate patient care on a designated unit and lead a team for excellent clinical practice and patient experience.

In collaboration with the Clinical Manager, you will manage staffing, guide staff, ensure safety and infection control, and drive continuous improvement across operations while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current RN license in state or compact.
• BLS certification preferred on hire; must obtain before patient care.
• PALS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, and other unit-specific certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on a designated unit.
• Assist with staffing adjustments based on acuity and resources.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to staff; serve as preceptor as needed.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and high reliability in care delivery.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and other departments.
• Lead quality monitoring and improvement activities.
• Facilitate patient placement, admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
