Job summary

Bon Secours Southside Medical Center seeks a Clinical Unit Leader – Lead RN/Charge Nurse to coordinate patient care on a designated unit. In collaboration with the Clinical Manager, you will apply nursing processes to lead the health care team and foster an environment of excellence and patient satisfaction.

Minimum qualifications include a BSN (preferred), a current RN license in the state or compact, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to entering patient care setting)
• Certifications required based on the unit(s) that the leader oversees and the requirements for those specific units

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on a designated unit.
• Lead the health care team to develop and sustain an environment of excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Adjust schedules and patient assignments to acuity and resource changes.
• Provide guidance to staff and act as a resource in the absence of the unit leader.
