The Tewksbury Public Library seeks a Professional Librarian for the Reference Department to assist adults with information and technology needs, coordinate reference services, and supervise department staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating adult patron education, providing instruction, managing the Local History Collection, and collaborating with community organizations to improve access to resources. This full-time role requires MLS and leadership abilities.

Formación

• MLS/Masters degree in library science.
• 2 years of experience in reference services.
• Training or experience with library technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership, independent judgment and initiative.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate all reference services for adults, field requests and readers' advisory.
• Oversee the Local History Collection and community collaborations.
• Coordinate adult patron education and technology instruction.
• Supervise and mentor department staff; ensure coverage of Reference, Teen, or Children's help as needed.
