Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager / CDL Mixer Operator to oversee daily operations of our ready mix plant and operate a concrete mixer truck when required. This role combines management with on‑site field work, leading a team, ensuring safe production and reliable deliveries.

You will coordinate batching, maintenance, and dispatch, uphold OSHA and DOT standards, and deliver excellent customer service to commercial and residential customers while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with current DOT Medical Card required.
• Previous ready mix concrete plant management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience operating a concrete mixer truck.
• Knowledge of batching systems and concrete production.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 100 pounds, and perform physical job duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily batching and production of ready mix concrete.
• Schedule production and deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Supervise plant employees and coordinate daily work assignments.
• Monitor inventory of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other materials.
• Ensure quality control standards are maintained.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant environment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety policies.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Operate a ready mix concrete mixer truck when needed.
• Safely transport and deliver concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain delivery documentation and DOT compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job site personnel.
• Assist with plant and yard duties during downtime.
