SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) seeks a hands-on Plant Manager / CDL Mixer Operator to lead daily plant operations and operate a concrete mixer truck as needed. You will supervise staff, manage batching, ensure safety, and maintain quality across production and delivery.

The role combines leadership with field logistics and customer interaction on commercial and residential sites. The ideal candidate enjoys building high-performing teams, delivering reliable service, and ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Hands-on plant management with ability to lead a team.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with dispatching and field coordination is a plus.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations for transportation and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily batching and production of ready mix concrete.
• Schedule production and deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Supervise plant employees and coordinate daily work assignments.
• Monitor inventory of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other materials.
• Ensure quality control standards are maintained.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant environment.
• Ensure OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety policies.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Operate a ready mix concrete mixer truck when needed and ensure DOT compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job sites.
