Job summary

CAF USA is seeking a Warranty Engineer to lead Rail Services operations at the Newton, MA site. The role supervises on-site personnel and assets, ensuring safety and cost efficiency while driving warranty processes and customer support.

Responsibilities include monthly reporting on warranty and project engineering, coordinating with suppliers, and training staff. Strong problem-solving and rail-system knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related field.
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings/schematics.
• Experience with CAF Power (TCMS and Traction) and Knorr-Bremse equipment is highly desirable.
• 5+ years in rail after-market, maintenance/overhaul or warranty role.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Rail Services on-site activities, managing personnel and assets safely and cost-effectively.
• Responsible for all monthly reporting on project engineering, warranty, materials, and budgets.
• Ensure timely site setup with manpower, machinery and materials; plan for warranty starts and spare parts.
• Manage supplier relations and client support; provide technical training as needed.
• Troubleshoot vehicles, test functionality after repairs, and manage the Maintenance Management System.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and address local feedback; other duties as required.
