Job summary

TYLin seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Rail + Transit Structural Engineering team in New York City. You will deliver structural designs, mentor engineers, and take ownership of project components with Project Managers.

Based in our New York office, you will work with clients like MTA, Amtrak, LIRR, and Metro-North, delivering high-quality designs and leading teams across multidisciplinary partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in rail, transit, or transportation facilities.
• New York PE license required (SE or additional licensure is a plus).
• Proficiency with SAP2000, ETABS, RAM or similar tools.
• Experience BIM/CAD environments: Revit, MicroStation, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level structural design input for rail+transit facilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project teams.
• Produce and review calculations, drawings, specs and reports.
• Lead structural tasks and coordinate with project managers.
• Perform analysis for steel, concrete and masonry systems, including seismic considerations.
• Collaborate with architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical teams.
