Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking an evening-shift, full-time Lead Radiology Technician to support cardiac, neuro, and vascular procedures. You will scrub in, monitor hemodynamics, and ensure patient safety.

The role requires ARRT certification, NJ RT license, 3 years of experience, and BLS/ACLS readiness within indicated timelines. Collaboration and high-quality patient care are central to the team’s mission.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • ARRT Certification.
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to patient care.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Scrub in on Cardiac, neurology, and vascular cases with the ability to monitor hemodynamics.
  • Assist by scrubbing in procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data.
  • Ensure procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
  • Monitor and keep inventory of par level of all instruments and supplies.
  • Assist in training any new hires.
  • Increase department efficiency by managing patient flow, room use, stocking, and clerical duties.
  • Work independently and in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Provide assistance to physicians or Rad Techs and RNs in complex procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, document, and communicate equipment issues.
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
NJ RT license

Responsibilities
  • The Lead Radiologic Tech will be responsible for scrubbing in on all Cardiac, neurology, and vascular cases with the ability to monitor hemodynamics.
  • Assist by scrubbing in procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data.

  • Utilizes time productively and appropriately with respect to patient flow, room use, stocking of supplies, and clerical duties to increase department efficiency.
  • Functions to work independently and in a cooperative manner in a teamwork-oriented atmosphere within the department and hospital-wide.
  • Provides assistance to the physicians or other Rad Tech's and RN’s in the performance of more complex procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, document, and communicate any equipment issues.
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned.
Qualifications

Job Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program, NJ RT license.
  • 3 years’ experience as a Radiologic Tech.
  • ARRT Certification.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • ACLS required (ACLS within 6 months of employment).

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
