Job summary

Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a part-time Radiology Technician for day shift with 20 hours per week. The role includes performing diagnostic X-ray exams, transporting patients, and documenting in PACS/HIS.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, licensed in New Jersey, and BLS certified within 14 days of hire. ARRT registration and bone density experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of X-ray Compliance.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Previous employment as a Radiology Technologist.
• ARRT registration.
• Bone Density Scanning Experience

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of personalized, professional, and quality patient care.
• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations.
• Transport patients to and from Imaging Services.
• Prepare departmental paperwork and answer department phones.
• Schedule patients and enter/retrieve patient information in PACS and HIS.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional, and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, performance of all diagnostic x-ray examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services, preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department’s telephone, scheduling of patients, entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.
