Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ seeks an evening-shift, full-time Lead Radiology Technician to supervise Cardiac, Neurology, and vascular imaging procedures.

You will scrub in, monitor hemodynamics, train new hires, manage room readiness, and ensure equipment and supplies are available to support patient care.

NJ RT license, ARRT, 3 years of radiology experience, and BLS/ACLS timely certifications are required to join our patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program with NJ RT license.
• ARRT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in on Cardiac, neurology, and vascular cases with monitoring of hemodynamics.
• Assist by scrubbing in procedures or monitoring physiologic data.
• Prepare procedure room for the procedure.
• Monitor par levels and inventory of instruments and supplies.
• Assist in training new hires.
• Enhance department efficiency through proper patient flow and room usage.
• Work independently and in a team environment within the department and hospital.
• Provide assistance to physicians and other Rad Techs and RNs in complex procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

Responsibilities

• The Lead Radiologic Tech will be responsible for scrubbing in on all Cardiac, neurology, and vascular cases with the ability to monitor hemodynamics.


• Assist by scrubbing in procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data.


• Ensure procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.


• Monitor and keep inventory of par level of all instruments and supplies.


• Assist in training any new hires.


• Utilizes time productively and appropriately with respect to patient flow, room use, stocking of supplies, and clerical duties to increase department efficiency.


• Functions to work independently and in a cooperative manner in a teamwork-oriented atmosphere within the department and hospital-wide.


• Provides assistance to the physicians or other Rad Tech's and RN’s in the performance of more complex procedures.


• Troubleshoot, document, and communicate any equipment issues.


• Perform any and all other duties assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent.


• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program, NJ RT license.


• 3 years’ experience as a Radiologic Tech.


• ARRT Certification.


• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.


• ACLS required (ACLS within 6 months of employment).

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
