Qualifications

• 5 years of radiologic technologist experience.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensed by the Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure.
• Reviews patient images to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Completes timely quality control procedures.
• Leads departmental programs and protocol development.
• Assists in the orientation and training of junior staff.
