Job summary

GE Vernova in Boston is seeking a Lead Application R&D Engineer to drive ideation, design, development, verification, documentation and delivery of core applications and components for AAA in distributed automation, power generation and transmission.

In this role you will collaborate closely with product management, COEs and customers to shape solutions and roadmaps, supervise major innovation activities, and contribute to all stages of the NPI process and customer projects.

Qualifications

Degree in renewable energies, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar field from an accredited university.
Strong industrial experience delivering power systems management, automation, protection and control applications in Linux and Windows.
Experience with Agile processes and R&D solutions for power systems.

Responsibilities

Technology development for smart grid control and management solutions.
Design and test of system architectures and algorithms.
Development of application function blocks for embedded automation and protection.
Lead technical direction or Scrum Master role as needed.
Support Grid Solutions innovation and AAA roadmap activities.
Assist business development and project delivery with COE and customers.
