Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Lead Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated with responsibilities including communicating standards of excellence in daily work and meeting safe production targets.

This position requires travel from the quarry to other locations and hours from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am, including weekends and overtime as necessary.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Three years of experience in building materials, mining, or aggregates preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform standard office duties, plant duties, equipment repairs, and operate mobile equipment.
Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of operation.
Perform regular safety, housekeeping, and mechanical inspections across the operation.
Implement and apply safety rules, regulations, and procedures per federal, state, local agencies and company standards.
Collaborate with Sr. Team Coordinator and Production Supervisor to ensure scheduled maintenance on all equipment.
Complete annual performance evaluations for team members.
Participate on the plant safety committee.
Assist in developing mining plans, profit plans, AFEs, and monthly forecasts with leadership.
Complete daily production, safety, and maintenance reports accurately.
Maintain plant housekeeping and product quality per standards.
Assist in training co-workers as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
