Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Lead Person to join our team. The ideal candidate is safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This role will lead daily work assignments, communicate safety standards, and contribute to employee evaluations and discipline decisions.

Travel to different locations from the quarry is required. Hours are 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, with overtime and weekend work as needed. A typical day includes supervising operations, safety checks, and reporting across production and

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Three (3) years of experience in building materials, mining or aggregates industry

Responsibilities

• Performing standard office duties, plant duties, equipment repairs and operates mobile equipment
• Establishing and maintains effective communications within all areas of operation
• Performing regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues in all areas of the operation
• Implementing and applying all safety rules, regulations and procedures of mine and property as set forth by federal, state, and local agencies and policies, as well as company guidelines and safety standards
• Working closely with the Sr. Team Coordinator and Production Supervisor to insure implementation of scheduled maintenance on all equipment
• Completing daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately
• Maintaining plant housekeeping and appearance standards and product quality as established by federal, state, and local agencies and policies, as well as company guidelines and safety standards
• Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor
