Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Lead Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated.

This role requires travel from the quarry to other locations and hours from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, with weekends and overtime as necessary. The Lead Person will communicate standards of excellence through goals, daily interactions, team meetings, and input on employee evaluations, while ensuring safety regulations are followed across the operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
• Three (3) years of experience in the building materials, mining or aggregates industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard office duties, plant duties, equipment repairs and operate mobile equipment.
• Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of operation.
• Perform regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues in all areas of the operation.
• Implement safety rules, regulations and procedures of mine and property as set forth by agencies and company policies.
• Work with supervisors to ensure maintenance on all equipment.
• Complete annual performance evaluations on team members.
• Participate on plant safety committee.
• Develop mining plans, profit plans, AFE's, and monthly forecast with leadership.
• Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately.
• Maintain plant housekeeping and product quality per guidelines.
• Aid in training of co-workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
