Qualifikationen

• PhD or Masters in Optics, Applied Physics, or related field preferred.
• Experience with optical projects from concept to production.
• 4+ years experience with optical test and measurement preferred.
• 2+ years experience with integrated photonics device characterization and/or design preferred.

Aufgaben

• Characterize photonic devices and optical components for trapped-ion quantum computers.
• Manage and scale hardware test & measurement resources to deliver timely, accurate data.
• Collaborate on photonic roadmaps, technology development, and advanced R&D activities.
• Guide optical R&D efforts from concept to production release for multi-year projects.
• Mentor and develop direct-reporting engineers/scientists and provide coaching and training.
• Implement best practices in an R&D environment to ensure quality and requirements are met.
• Identify technologies and resources needed to improve optical development capabilities.
• Lead recruitment and retention of high-performing technical staff.
