Job summary

ILC Dover is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to lead quality activities across spacesuit, space systems, and engineered solutions. You will drive quality initiatives, mentor engineers, support audits and FAI, and partner with engineering and manufacturing to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements and are delivered on time.

The role requires expertise in AS9100/ISO9001 environments, strong root-cause analysis, and experience with SPC, ERP/MRP, and QMS systems.

Qualifications

Must be able to access shared databases supporting U.S. Government programs.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of progressive quality assurance and quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
5+ years of experience supporting AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment.
Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).

Responsibilities

Drive quality strategy by providing direction to Quality Engineers and Technicians.
Develop and maintain quality plans for programs.
Monitor key quality metrics and report performance to leadership.
Lead investigations into significant quality issues and customer complaints.
Apply SPC methods to analyze data and evaluate process changes.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to implement quality plans and improvements.
